- Shibani has been giving private lessons through the Center for World Music in San Diego for the past 8 years and has taught in the California Bay Area as well. She has over 30 students in California.
- In 2003, Shibani and her sisters taught an Odissi workshop in Bali, Indonesia for two weeks through the Center for World Music.
- With Shibani’s initiative and leadership, the Dance department at Stanford University started offering an Indian classical dance course from Spring 2002. She instructed the first class, on Odissi in 2002.
- Shibani presented Odissi dance in elementary schools, middle schools and high schools in Palo Alto, California (2003).
- She also has conducted lectures and demonstrations at various colleges and universities including UC San Diego, University of San Diego,
California State University San Marcos, UC Santa Cruz, and Stanford University during the period of 1995-2006.
- Shibani organized Odissi workshops for young children in various elementary schools and libraries in the San Diego area (1995-1998).
