Shibani along with her sisters (known as the "Patnaik Sisters") have presented Odissi at numerous Indian events, temples, multicultural festivals, conventions, museums, libraries, universities, school assemblies, senior centers, and dance festivals in the US. The following are some of the highlights of her performance portfolio.

  • Shibani performed at the 2009 Dhauli Mahotsav in Orissa, India.
  • She participated in the 2009 Uday Shankar Festival in Kolkatta, India.
  • In December, 2009, Shibani performed at the National Odissi Festival in Orissa, India.
  • She was invited to perform at the 2010 Young Dancers Festival in Assam, India.
  • Shibani performed at the 2008 International Stirring Odissi Festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • She participated in the 2007 Konark Dance and Music Festival in Orissa, India.
  • In February 2007, Shibani performed at the prestigious Ravi Shankar Institute in New Delhi.
  • She performed at the 2006 Devadasi Festival in Orissa where she was awarded the Devadasi award for her contribution to Odissi dance.
  • Shibani represented Odissi in Nritya Sangam – a production of four Indian classical dance styles performed in Buffalo, NY in 2007 and in Orlando, Florida in 2008.
  • As a member of the Orissa Dance Academy’s performing group, Shibani traveled with Academy’s 2005 North America Tour and participated in over 25 performances.
  • Shibani performed at the International Odissi Festival in 2007 (Orissa) and in 2003 and 2000 (Washington DC).
  • In 2003, the Patnaik Sisters choreographed an Odissi segment for Ricky Martin’s World Tour.
  • Shibani represented Stanford University at the American College Dance Festival (ACDF) in New Mexico in March 2001.
  • The Patnaik Sisters organized a benefit performance in November, 1999 in San Diego, which raised $15,000 to help the cyclone victims in Orissa.
  • Shibani and her sisters were selected by the superstar Madonna to choreograph and dance in Odissi style at the 1998 MTV Music Awards ("Shanti / Ashtangi", from her album "Ray of Light”), which was broadcasted live to viewers all over the world.
  • The Patnaik sisters represented India at the highly acclaimed production of “Nations of San Diego”, a two week engagement of multicultural dance festival conducted by San Diego Area Dance Alliance for six years starting from 1995. Perhaps senior dance critic Mary Anne Welsh of San Diego Union captured the effect of the Odissi performance when she said, “The artistic high point, however, came with the performance of Patnaik Sisters....”.
  • Shibani, along with her sisters have performed for special gatherings organized by Pandit Ravi Shankar and George Harrison. The Patnaik sisters were invited by Madonna to perform at a private gathering in New York where many well-known celebrities from the entertainment industry (Lenny Kravitz & Sting among others) were present.
